Burna Boy listed for 63rd Grammy Awards nomination

  • Nigerians have taken to social media to congratulate singer Burna Boy
  • The Odogwu crooner was nominated for a Grammy Awards for the second time
  • Burna Boy was nominated alongside four others under the Best Global Music Album

Congratulations are in order for Nigerian singer Burna Boy as he has been nominated for a Grammy Awards for the second time.

The Ye crooner was nominated for his recent album Twice As Tall under the Best Global Music Album.

Burna Boy Was nominated alongside an American, Brooklyn-based afrobeat band Antibalas, American singer Bebel Gilberto, British Indian singer Anoushka Shankar, and a group of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali called Tinariwen

The singer’s first nomination came in November 2019 and it got many Nigerians excited as they prayed for him to win.

Nigerian have, however, not given up on the hope that the singer can still bring home the Grammy award as many have taken to social media to pray for him to win it this second time.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerians reacted as Burna Boy shared his 2012 rehearsal video the same night Wizid had a live show.

Wizkid did a live performance on YouTube on the night of Thursday, November 19.

Following the performance, Burna Boy shared the video which showed him rehearsing with his band in Port Harcourt. According to the singer, the video was from 2012.

Burna Boy’s video did not seem to please many fans of Wizkid as they accused the Ye crooner of being jealous of their favourite musician.

Meanwhile, over the past few months, Nigerians noticed the close relationship between Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Despite that, after the Odogwu crooner shared his own YouTube video on the same night their fave had his live performance on the same platform, they did not fail to call him out.
