Promising prospective applicants that there will be level playing ground for recruitment, she said: “The Federal government is committed to the continuation and expansion and as such will now begin enrolment and onboarding of a new batch of beneficiaries.”

Meanwhile, reported that the House of Representatives had expressed worry over the inconsistency in the money (N474,961,312,112.42) spent by the N-Power scheme since 2016.

When questioned by the House on Wednesday, June 17, the assistant director of N-Power, Nsikak Okon, spoke on behalf of the scheme.

Whereas Okon informed the House that N421,525,909,355 has been spent in four years, the agency had stipulated that the sum of N474,961,312,112.42 was expended since inception.

Called upon to give details of the expenditure and explain the discrepancy between both sums, Okon pointed out that there was a typographical error on the last page of the submission, adding that it is supposed to be N421,575,909,355.

He explained: “What happened is that if you look at October 2016, it suppose to have terminated October to December 2016 but we had it scrolled to 2016 total giving us 56 billion.”
